In Japanese society, sakura (cherry) blossoms are a symbol of the fleeting nature of life. Sakura trees blossom for just a few weeks in the year, and the short time of beauty is celebrated by people all over Japan. This pen pays homage to the cyclical nature of the sakura, moving from colorful raden work to a scene of golden perfection, and back again. Maki-e is featured throughout, including on the grip section. A gorgeous addition to any pen collection.
